Dr. Alyssa’s health journey began very early in life. After searching for health solutions through the traditional western medical route for years and being dissatisfied with the lack of explanations about why she experienced the numerous symptoms she did, she decided to take things into her own hands. Dr. Alyssa attended Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ to study Nutrition & Food Science to understand how our diets influence health and what exactly is in the food we eat. Then she pursued an additional year of study as a dietetic intern and saw firsthand the lack of true nutrition and understanding of what makes a person healthy in the facilities in which she interned. It was after this that she started getting chiropractic adjustments and seeing changes to her chronic health issues and decided to become a chiropractor. She attended Life University in Marietta, GA and specializes in newborn care and pediatric neurodevelopment. She has a deep understanding of the various elements of healing, taking a holistic approach in neurology, nutrition, and natural healing.
She is also a Root Cause Protocol Consultant, which is a method of healing through proper mineral balance. She has found that using this with chiropractic care has allowed her body to express the innate healing capacity we all have when given the proper internal environment.
